About
I was born and raised in Heredia, Costa Rica. I love learning (either from reading or chatting), taking long walks while observing surroundings, as well discovering new food and drinks. I am a historian, currently completing a Master degree in Central American history at Universidad de Costa Rica, where I graduated with honors from a Minor in History in 2019. My background includes teaching Social Studies and History to both adult and teenager students at high school level, as well as university students. I also taught Spanish as a foreign language to European students who volunteered in Costa Rica. I have also collaborated and led socio-historical research projects at university and community levels in Guanacaste, Heredia and San Jose. I love to move between history (understanding the how and why of things), communication (interchange of ideas, using education and tourism as crucial allies) and politics (putting efforts together and translating them into actions to strengthen a community’s conditions). From here, I am looking forward to joining Futuro Verde and contributing to a better world!
