Daniela Guevara Malagón
Visual Arts & TOK for IB
About
Daniela Guevara Malagón is a Visual Arts teacher with experience in both primary education and the International Baccalaureate program. Her career combines art instruction with mentorship in inquiry-based projects, oversight of creative processes, and the development of sustainability-focused initiatives. She holds a BA in Visual Arts from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and an Associate of Arts Degree from the United States, and she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Bilingual Education. Daniela works under the Teaching for Artistic Behavior (TAB) approach, where students take on the role of artists, the classroom becomes a studio, and learning is centered on meaningful, self-directed inquiry projects. In this framework, the creative process is valued over the final product, fostering reflection, imagination, and personal growth.
