This year Jorge and Ana Isabel have prepared a program of music appreciation, violin, viola and wind instruments that will fill our school with music and much, much more.
People who play an instrument become more methodical people who have greater attention to detail (otherwise the music they play doesn’t sound good), they learn to better plan tasks, they develop stronger ability to pay attention, they have improved confidence, and therefore, learning to play an instrument promotes good self-esteem. When being part of an orchestra or group, this group practice improves teamwork abilities and individual discipline.
Music is a means of expression through which emotions, feelings and perceptions manifest themselves. Expression is essential for learning and personal development. Through music, the student experiences and discovers himself and thus operates better in society.
Our music program aims to go beyond music and develop a deepening of human values in order to obtain the “Certificate of Music Education with emphasis on Human Values” from North Park University in Chicago.
