About
Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Mónica brings a wealth of experience and a passion for biology and education. Mónica studied Biology at Universidad de los Andes and specialized in Active Pedagogies at Universidad Virtual TECH. She has furthered her education with certifications in camera traps for biodiversity studies, reptile handling, PADI Open Water diving, and collaborative project-based work. Mónica has worked as an intern at NGO Panthera, a researcher at Fundación Palmarito, a consulting biologist at Ingetec, and a teacher at several renowned schools, teaching science and biology. She looks forward to sharing her passion for life sciences and her experience with our students. Mónica is excited to learn from and contribute to our community. In her free time, Mónica enjoys yoga, hiking, volleyball, knitting, reading, dancing, and participating in service activities.
