About
Born and raised in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, Matthew loves the beach and outdoor activities. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern European History from Central Connecticut State University and completed his teaching certification at Moreland University. Matthew’s passion for outdoor education began with a 90-day course in Patagonia, Chile. He has taught in Thailand and Kuwait, gaining valuable cultural experiences.He is excited to join Futuro Verde to share his love for outdoor activities and sports, while emphasizing the importance of academic diligence. He believes in fostering growth in all areas: intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual. In his free time, Matthew enjoys woodworking, hiking, rock climbing, freediving, and surfing. He is also eager to improve his Spanish and learn more about Latin culture from our students and colleagues.
