An Overview
Our Futuro Verde preschool program offers an experiential, creative and challenging education for children ages 3-5 years of age. In alignment with our school’s commitment to multilingual development and international mindedness our diverse student population benefits from a bilingual Spanish/English program as well as weekly translanguaging classes. Our staff assures student-centered learning experiences that instill independence, personal responsibility and relevant learning experiences framed within a transdiciplinary curriculum which supports children in their holistic development through creative opportunities and experiences. Our students love to come to school each day and thrive in our child-centered learning environment!
Highlights of Futuro Verde’s preschool program:
- a diverse student population, with students from multiple nationalities and with several native languages
- both preschool teachers are native speakers in their respective language of instruction.
- weekly holistic learning: translanguaging, library, environmental education, mindfulness, music, arts, and swimming classes
- biliteracy instruction: children learn to read, write and speak in Spanish and in English from day one of class
